The City of Auburn will have a familiar partner for the downtown revitalization projects. Capital Projects Director Christina Selvek told City Council on Thursday the state has selected Bergmann Associates to work with the city and the DRI committee.
The firm has partnered with the city on a number of past projects, including the development of the former Kalet department store site on State Street and the Brownfield Opportunity Area, better known as Auburn Sparks.
As City Clerk Chuck Mason said on Friday’s Finger Lakes Morning News, there’s still a lot of prep work ahead.
Mason added the final plan could be approved by this time next year.
Also at Thursday’s meeting, Owasco Town Supervisor Ed Wagner briefed City Council on the work of the Owasco Lake Watershed Management Council. The presentation came in advance of a public meeting next Monday at 6:00 pm at the Cayuga Onondaga BOCES that will give you the chance to address your concerns about watershed issues.
