David R. Weller, 70 of Geneva, passed away on Wednesday (August 8, 2018) in his home.
There will be no prior calling hours.
A Celebration of his life will be at 4 p.m. on Tuesday (August 14, 2018) in the DeVaney-Bennett Funeral Home., 181 N. Main St., Geneva. The Rev. Thomas P. Mull will officiate.

David was born in Geneva and was a lifelong resident. He was the son of the late Lawrence and Ruth Cole Weller. He was a graduate of Geneva High School, Class of 1966 and was retired from the City of Geneva where he was Chief Operator for the Water Treatment Plant. He was a member of AWWA (American Water Works Association). He was a former member of the Nester Hose Co. of the Geneva Fire Department.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Eileen Edwards Weller; his son, David L. (Julie) Weller of Rochester; his brother, Robert (Debbie) Weller of Spicewood Texas; his sister, Linda Barrett of Pine City; his granddaughter, Katrina; brothers-and sister-in-law Howard “Skip” and Kristin Edwards, Mark and Ginny Bauer, Mary Ellen Brown and Peggy Allen; several nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
He was predeceased by his sister, Donna Weller; brothers-in-law Howard Allen and Timothy Brown.
