On August 4, State Troopers arrested 48-year old Jay Brickey of Moravia for driving while intoxicated, operating a motor vehicle with a BAC greater than .08%, drinking alcohol in a motor vehicle and unlawful possession of marijuana.
Troopers responded to a motor vehicle accident on Cayuga Street in the Village of Union Springs. Brickey was placed under arrest after failing standard field sobriety tests. He was also found in possession of a container of marijuana.
Brickey was transported to the Auburn barracks, where he provided a breath sample of .10. He was issued uniform traffic tickets and an appearance ticket returnable to the Town of Springport Court on August 8.
