Sales tax revenue is up in the Finger Lakes in the first half of this year, though not as much as the rest of state.
According to a report released by Comptroller Tom DiNapoli, sales tax us up 3.1% in the Finger Lakes, 4.8% in Central New York, and 5.8% in the Southern Tier.
That’s slightly behind the 6% increase reported statewide.
As far as individual cities go, Auburn has seen a 7.7% hike, while Ithaca sits at 5%.
