State Police believe the cause of the fire that killed three children last week in Rome was accidental in nature.
After following up on several leads, investigators determined no criminal activity occurred and there was no evidence of an explosion.
2-year old Temprince Croad, 3-year old Patrick Croad III and 4-year old Eliesse Croad died in the July 23rd fire. 1-year old Kaydence Croad and the children’s mother, 24-year old Gabrielle Croad were taken to SUNY Upstate with burns. 25-year old Patrick Croad Jr. was also taken to Upstate for examination.
