A suspect in the stabbing death of a Sodus teenager has been offered a plea deal. 19-year-old Vaughn Gray of Newark was charged with first and second degree murder and robbery, and has been offered a plea of first degree manslaughter and a sentence of 18 years in prison.
The plea deal was offered by prosecutors on Thursday. Gray’s lawyer has asked for some time so his client can consider the deal.
In December, 17-year-old Zackary Dwello was stabbed to death. Gray is expected back in court this Thursday.
The other suspect is facing similar charges and is expected to go on trial this fall.
