The investigation of a heroin overdose in Hornell has resulted in the arrest of a Rochester man. Hornell Police say 32-year-old Raul Rivera was picked up during a traffic stop last week. Police say they found 38 bags of heroin, 16 bags of crack cocaine, and five bags of crack hydrochloride that were all ready to be sold in the area.
Authorities say the drugs were traded to an overdose that happened in late June. The unidentified victim was saved with the use of Narcan. Rivera was charged with three counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance and three counts of attempted criminal sale of a controlled substance.
Rivera is currently being held in the Steuben County Jail.
