Doris “Dorie” Giovannetti, 52, formerly of Auburn passed away Wednesday (July 10, 2018) in Delmar, New York.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday (July 18) at a time to be announced in Sacred Heart Church.
In Memory of Dorie, contributions may be made to American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
Dorie was born in Seneca Falls on March 18, 1966, to David Aldrich and Lula Margaret Cockfield Sperlazza. She was a graduate of Mynderse Academy, and continued her education at Cayuga Community College Nursing Program. As an RN, Dorie was employed at St. Peter’s Hospital in Albany, and had previously worked in the Auburn area. She was known as a very dedicated nurse in the care she gave her patients, especially children and infants. Dorie loved her career as a nurse, but her greatest love was her family.
She is survived by her daughter, Meaghan Giovannetti, of Rochester; a son, Paul J. Giovannetti, of Auburn; sisters, Beverly Piscitelli and her husband, Tony, of Seneca Falls, Kathy Hoover and her husband, Kevin, of Rochester.
Dorie recently was predeceased by her mother, Margaret Sperlazza and her father, David Aldrich.
