On Saturday, July 14, 2018, at 9:36 pm, the Town of Seneca Falls Police Department arrested David L. Guthrie, age 34, of Clyde, New York following a larceny investigation at the Wal-Mart Supercenter. Gutherie, an associate of Wal-Mart, was observed by asset protection stealing merchandise from the store while he was working. He would also use the store keys to defeat the anti-theft security devices to avoid detection. Guthrie was charged with one count petit larceny and one count criminal possession of an anti-security item, both misdemeanors. He was processed and released on an appearance ticket. Guthrie is scheduled to appear in the Town of Seneca Falls Court on August 6, 2018, at 5: 30 pm.
