Cayuga County’s sales tax revenues dipped slightly in the second quarter, while the City of Auburn’s numbers were higher. The County Treasurer’s reports shows the county collected just over $11 Million, down 2.5% over the same period a year ago.
Treasurer Jim Orman tells Finger Lakes News Radio it’s the normal ebb and flow of sales tax collection.
Sales tax revenue in Auburn is not including in the county figures. The city collected $4.57 Million during the fiscal year that ended on June 30, more than 8% higher than the 2016-17 fiscal year.
