The Cayuga County Government Operations Committee on Tuesday rejected a proposal for a new county website just two months after it approved the proposal.
The Ways and Means Committee rejected the plan to sign a contract with CivicPlus, a municipal website design company. Legislature Chair Pat Mahunik tells Finger Lakes News Radio the current website can adversely affect economic development.
He adds the decision is symptomatic of the resistance by the legislature to changes enacted following the arrival of County Administrator J. Justin Woods.
Mahunik says the proposal can be reintroduced, and if no one else will bring it back to the legislature, he will.
