The man said to be the front-runner to be the next Geneva City Manager has held four city manager jobs over the past twenty-five years.
Richard “Rick” Finn, most recently the city manager of Bay City, Michigan. He also worked as city manager in Sandusky, Ohio; Takoma Park, Maryland; and Peekskill, New York.
According to the news blog Geneva Believer, he has left each job under a cloud of controversy, with accusations of harassment, discrimination, misconduct and racism.
The Geneva City Council meets tonight to discuss the city manager’s search. Supporters of Interim City Manager Sage Gerling becoming the next permanent city manager plan to hold a demonstration on the steps of city hall tonight at 6pm.
