A Geneva woman was ticketed following a three car accident at the intersection of County Road 23 and Melvin Hill Road in the town of Phelps Saturday morning.
45 year old Kevin Chreptak, of Newark, was traveling east on County Road 23 when Lydia Solla was stopped in the southbound lane of Melvin Hill Road pulled in front of him. Chreptak struck the passenger door of Solla’s car, which spun 180 degrees and struck the front end of a Jeep that was stopped in the northbound lane of Melvin Hill Road that was driven by 79 year old Eldrid Rust, of Lyons. Solla suffered a broken left arm and a passenger in her car complained of hip and leg pain. Both were sent to Geneva General Hospital for treatment. A passenger in Rust’s Jeep was taken to Clifton Springs Hospital for treatment of a whiplash type injury.
Solla was ticketed for failure to yield the right of way and will appear in Phelps Town Court at a later date.
