Rufino “Barney” Capeles, 89, passed away peacefully on Friday (June 29, 2018), at the Geneva Living Center North.
In honoring his wishes, there will be no services. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
Barney was born on July 11, 1928, in Puerto Rico. He moved to the United States in 1949 at the age of 21. He became a truck driver for the Seneca Army Depot and then went on to be an auto mechanic, working for Anthony Rago and then for Dave Passalacqua at Dave’s Service Center in Geneva.
He is survived by his daughters Cynthia Bryant of S.C. and Margie Petrou of Fla; special friends David Passalacqua and Joshua Passalacqua of Geneva and Cindy and Don Wing of Waterloo.
