The funeral for slain State Trooper Nicholas Clark will be held Sunday morning at Alfred University’s McLane Physical Education Center.
The 29-year-old trooper was killed in an exchange of gunfire with Bradford Central School principal Steven Kiley before Kiley allegedly took his own life on Monday morning.
Trooper Clark played football at Alfred. He was posted in Auburn from January to August of 2017 and is remembered by Sheriff David Gould.
Sheriff Gould says Monday’s shooting hits hard to both law enforcement and the community.
Trooper Clark is the 13th State Trooper to die in the line of duty in the past five years.
