The brother of New York Giants star Janoris Jenkins suspected in the death of a man found dead inside the football player’s New Jersey home Tuesday is in Ontario County Jail on a parole violation.
William Jenkins was arrested in Geneva and charged Wednesday with aggravated manslaughter in the death of 25 year old Roosevelt Rene. He is expected to go before a judge Thursday on the parole issue.
The question of extradition to New Jersey is also expected to come up during his court appearance. The New York Post reports according to New York state prison records, William was locked up in Dec. 2006 on a charge of criminal sale of a controlled substance and sentenced to 3 years and 6 months in prison. He was busted again in April 2011 charges of criminal sale of a controlled substance and criminal possession of a controlled substance and sentenced to six years in the Livingston County Correctional Facility.
William was released on parole in July 2016, records show.
Rene, a family friend, was found dead inside Janoris Jenkins’ home while the football star was in Florida.
