Auburn School Board Vice President Kathleen Rhodes says she wants to become the new board president. Rhodes said at Wednesday’s board meeting she is planning to run to succeed Michael McCole.
She tells Finger Lakes News Radio her four years as Vice President gives her an edge over some very qualified members of the board.
Rhodes points to the sudden closing of Cayuga Centers in the spring as a prime example.
The executive positions will be filled when the board holds its reorganization meeting next Monday at 4:00pm at the Tubman Administration building.
