An arrest has been made following the lengthy investigation into a dirt bike pursuit that spanned three Yates County towns last month.
Dominic Bruno faces more than 20 charges stemming from the May 28th incident. The 21 year old Penn Yan man is accused of operating a dirt bike on Seneca Street in Penn Yan when village police attempted to pull him over. After failing to stop, Bruno is accused of leading police on a pursuit through the village at a rate of more than double the speed limit. He is also alleged to have driven recklessly on multiple roads in Penn Yan, Milo and Benton, where he eventually drove into a farm field to evade police. Officers were not able to locate Bruno at that time to take him into custody.
On Sunday, police were told where Bruno was and he was arrested.
Following his arraignment, Bruno was sent to Yates County Jail in lieu of bail.
