The Committee to Elect Brian Schenck Sheriff announced on Monday that Detective Lt. Schenck has been endorsed by the Sheriffs Employee’s Association of Cayuga County.
Schenck is currently the only declared candidate running to succeed Cayuga County Sheriff David Gould, who is retiring at the end of the year.
SEACC represents the professional men and women of the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Custody, Civil, and Records Divisions, as well as Administrative Staff that serve with the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office.
In a statement, Det. Lt. Schenck said, “I am honored to have received the endorsement of the members of the Sheriffs Employee’s Association of Cayuga County. It has also been an honor for me to serve our community and to partner alongside these men and women during my career. Thank you to all of the members of SEACC for the work that you do and for endorsing me to serve as our next Cayuga County Sheriff.”
