Seneca Falls, NY – The Board of Trustees for The Seneca Falls It’s A Wonderful Life Museum will host an open house from 5:00 – 7:00 pm on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at the Museum’s location at 32 Fall Street, Seneca Falls. The public is invited to view the exhibits, meet the Museum’s Board, and learn about future plans. A brief program will begin at 5:30 pm.
Special Guest will be Karolyn Grimes who portrayed “Zuzu Bailey” in the 1946 film classic. A regular guest in Seneca Falls since 2002, she will be at the Museum from June 25-30 to help promote the museum and greet fans who cannot come to Seneca Falls in December. Also present will be Producer/ Director Kevin Stillmock who will film Karolyn in Seneca Falls on June 28 for a special Christmas Show for the Wonderful Living Channel that will also include “woman on the street” interviews.
The Museum’s five-year plan will be outlined at the open house. Also included in the program will be brief segments remembering The Seneca Theater, the first movie theater in town and now the home of the Museum, and Charles Fornesi, the man who built and owned the theater. Fornesi also was the first Italian immigrant to permanently settle in Seneca Falls. Guests will also learn about the key role of former Seneca Falls industry, Knight Letter Works, in the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
This open house event will also mark the launch of the Museum’s 2019 “It’s a Wonderful Life” Calendar featuring Seneca Falls. The 2019 calendar will be the Museum’s fourth in a series of collectible calendars.
