With school ending and summer arriving, Lisa Carr and the staff at the Seymour Public Library are working to get kids of all ages reading more this summer.
Carr said on Tuesday’s Finger Lakes Morning News focus groups have told her life is too structured to find time to read. She recalled one mother of a 4th grader who loves to read.
Carr says there will be a change in the summer reading program for kids. The library will no longer have reading logs. Instead, the youngsters will be encourage to keep a discover journal.
