Dorothy was born May 17, 1959 in Penn Yan to the late Thelma and Koral “Pee-Wee” Marusarz of Dundee, and later attended Dundee Central School. Dedicated to the service of others, she worked as a patient caregiver through Finger Lakes Health. Throughout the years, she was known as a welcoming, smiling, and familiar face at many Finger Lakes-area restaurants where she served as a waitress, hostess, and devoted mentor to others in the local service industry. At home, she enjoyed music, nature, gardening, spending time with children, friends and family, philosophical talks, and sharing good coffee with good company.
She is loved and survived by her husband, Michael Thompson of Dundee and their three daughters Danielle, Michelle and Jenna, as well as her four beloved grandchildren, five siblings, numerous nieces and nephews, and many adoring friends and family.
She was pre-deceased by her parents.
