The murder trial for a Geneva man charged in connection with a homicide that occurred last December gets underway in Ontario County Court Monday.
Willie McKoy, Junior, is charged with second-degree murder and criminal possession of a weapon in the shooting death of Pliekou Irvin, Senior, last December 5th. The 38-year-old Irvin was killed while he sat in the passenger seat of a parked car in the vicinity of Exchange and Middle Streets. McKoy was arrested early the following morning in Wolcott. McKoy has been jailed since his arrest.
Jury selection is expected to take at least two days in Judge Craig Doran’s courtroom.
