John P. Crouch, 56, died at his home on Saturday (June 9, 2018) with his family by his side.
Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday (June 13) at the Cheney Funeral Home, 70 Main Street Phelps. A memorial service will be held 10 a.m. on Thursday (June 14) at Grace Baptist Church 3142 Johnson Road Geneva. Private burial will be in Resthaven Cemetery.
It is requested that in lieu of flowers memorial donations be made C/O Valerie Crouch, 2662 Fort Hill Road , Geneva, NY 14456 for a trust fund to be established for Matthew and Aaron.
John was born on March 5, 1962 in Geneva N.Y. the son of the late Glenn and Doris Lerkins Crouch. John graduated from Midlakes High School in 1980. He married Valerie Scott on August 2, 1985. John was a farmer his whole life and worked on the family farm with his nephew, Tim Buddle.
He is survived by his wife, Valerie Crouch of Phelps; daughter, Sarah (Justin) Shireman of Newark; sons Jason (Makayla) Crouch of Phelps, Matthew and Aaron Crouch of Phelps; grandchildren Layla and Zachary Shireman; two sisters Judy (Alvin) Buddle of Phelps Nancy Edington of Phelps; one aunt and one uncle; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by his son, David M. Crouch; two brothers Mark and David Crouch; three sisters Joan Crouch, Mary Goodman and Debbie Rice.
