Officials from Cayuga County and municipalities from across the county were back at Cayuga Onondaga BOCES on Friday for the third of five shared services forums. Health care costs topped the topics, which also included human resources, assessment and energy procurement.
County Planning Director Steve Lynch said on Monday’s Finger Lakes Morning News the Cayuga County Health Insurance Consortium is attempting to change the state insurance law so that municipalities and other groups with less than 50 employees can join the organization.
The forums are being held as the county works to come up with a shared services plan to comply with Gov. Cuomo’s mandate issued last year.
