The city of Corning has been chosen by the Smithsonian magazine as one of its “20 Best Small Towns to Visit in 2018.”
The magazine mentioned Corning’s famous glassmaker company, Corning, Incorporated, the Corning Museum of Glass and the Rockwell Museum as key businesses and attractions. Also mentioned by the Smithsonian is Corning’s Gaffer District and Centerway Walking Bridge.
For cities to be listed by the magazine, their population had to be less than 20-THOUSAND and it had to include historic elements with distinct cultural offerings, and natural beauty.
