A 65 year old Seneca Castle man was killed Tuesday after the motorcycle he was driving was involved in an accident in the town of Hopewell.
25 year old Shreyans Jain, of Kearney, New Jersey, was traveling south on Smith Road in a Hyundai Sonota when he turned onto County Road 4 and collided with an eastbound motorcycle driven by Gerald Saunders. Both vehicles went off the southeast corner of the intersection with Saunders being ejected from his motorcycle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Jain and two passengers, 58 year old Kamlesh Jain and 56 year old Usha Jain, both of India, had to be extricated from their car. All three were treated at the scene for minor scrapes and bruises and declined further treatment.
The intersection was closed for approximately two-and-a-half hours while the accident scene was being investigation. No charges have been filed at this time, but the investigation is ongoing.
