The man accused of moving the body of a missing woman in Sodus was in federal court Monday afternoon to answer to federal immigration charges.
Alberto Reyes was charged in a federal complaint with re-entering the United States illegally after being deported twice – once in 2016 and once in 2017. On May 16th, Wayne County Sheriff’s investigators found Selena Hidalgo-Calderon’s body under dirt and branches on the farm where she worked in Sodus. Investigators later said Reyes admitted to moving her body and hiding it behind the house where it was eventually found.
Selena’s one-year-old son, Owen, has been missing since last month, but has not yet been found.
