The Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office is investigating reports of multiple residential burglaries in the town of Locke Monday.
The break-ins occurred between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. and were centered in the area of State Route 38 and the surrounding areas, starting south of the Village of Moravia and continuing into Tompkins County. Anyone that spotted any unusual people or vehicles in the area is asked to contact law enforcement and share their information. Sheriff David Gould said it would not be unusual in these types of situations for the perpetrators to first knock on the front door of a residence to determine if anyone is home, so they would be interested in any resident that received any unusual visitors to their house or cars pulling in-and-out of their driveways.
Anyone with information regarding this investigation can contact Detective Rob Franklin at 315-253-1610.
