School District Superintendent Jeff Pirozzolo tells Finger Lakes News Radio Auburn Police have completed their investigation of security video and have been unable to determine who may have dropped the bullet in the grass outside of the cafeteria, or how long the bullet may have been there.
Students at Auburn High School were dismissed early on Wednesday afternoon after a bullet was found outside the school’s cafeteria.
Auburn Police Chief Shawn Butler tells Finger Lakes News Radio officers were alerted to the live cartridge found by students.
District officials decided to dismiss the students “in a controlled manner” around 1:15pm. A robo-call was sent to parents informing them of the situation.
The investigation is continuing.
