Born in Bangor, Pa. to the late Paul and Elizabeth Stenlake, Bob graduated from Bangor High School in 1946. Bob served in the US Army from 1946-1948. In 1958 he received his certificate for completion of studies in Pattern Making at the Williamsport Technical Institute and went on to a career as a pattern maker at Goulds Pumps for 37 years until his retirement in 1994. Bob was a long time member of the First Presbyterian Church of Seneca Falls. He enjoyed bowling and loved a good day of fishing and being on the water. He had a lifetime love of history and was an avid Syracuse University basketball fan. His greatest passion however was spending time with his grandchildren and was very proud of their accomplishments. Bob and Jean logged many miles traveling to visit them, taking in sporting events, concerts, musicals, recitals, and graduations.
Bob is survived by his wife of 65 years, Jean, of Bath; son, Jeffrey Stenlake and fiancée Judy, of Massena; daughter, Diane (James) Walling, of Hammondsport; four grandchildren Megan Walling and fiancé Brian, Kelly Walling, Michael Stenlake, and Nicole Stenlake.
