The opening of the new Finger Lakes Welcome Center on Seneca Lake in Geneva is just days away.
Yesterday the construction fence came down, now crews are working to finish landscaping around the new center. Last night kids could be seen climbing on the new playground equipment and people walked by getting a better view of the center.
The state spent $5-million dollars renovating the former Geneva Events Center.
The new center will include: I Love NY Kiosks with videos and directions to the Finger Lakes tourism destinations, a Taste NY market showcasing local food, wine, beer, cider and spirits, a children’s playground, electric vehicle charging stations, and a year-around farmers’ market.
No grand opening date has yet been announced for the welcome center.
