Republican gubernatorial candidate and Auburn native Joe Holland was back home last night. HBackend Editore held a fund raiser at the home of George and Mary Cuthbert attended by about 100 supporters.
Holland is the lone GOP candidate still running against Dutchess County Executive Marc Molinaro for the party nomination, but he told the gathering he’s been asked to consider running for Attorney General following the abrupt resignation of Eric Schneiderman.
Speaking on Thursday’s Finger Lakes Morning News, Holland said the Attorney General’s Office needs a change of leadership in the wake of the Schneiderman scandal.
He has two weeks to make his decision before the Republicans convene in New York City to choose their statewide candidates.
