For the second time in just a few days, a Penn Yan Police Officer had to use Narcan to save a person’s life.
Police were called to a village residence Monday for the report of an unconscious man from a possible overdose. When officers arrived at the home, they found the unconscious man lying on the floor with a needle next to him. Officer Brad Conover administered two doses of Narcan to the man and was able to revive him. The individual was taken to Soldiers and Sailors Hospital for further treatment.
Over the weekend, officer Derek Chisom was involved in a similar circumstance and provided Narcan to a man that had overdosed, also saving his life.
