UPDATE: Auburn’s Tim Locastro picked up his 1st Major League hit Friday night.
The Dodgers’ centerfielder lined a double to left field during the 4th inning of Los Angeles’s 4-0 win over San Diego in Monterrey, Mexico.
Locastro finished the night 1-2, after an 0-3 showing in his 1st MLB start Thursday.
Auburn’s Tim Locastro was called back up into the big leagues by the Dodgers yesterday and made his first Major League Baseball start. The centerfielder went 0-3 and reached based in the 9th after getting hit by a pitch. The Dodgers won the game 5-2.
Prior to be called up, Locastro was batting .342 with a home run, six RBIs and five stolen bases at Class AAA Oklahoma City. Locastro had a cup of coffee with the Dodgers last season when he was called up for the final weekend of the regular season. He played in three games and had a stolen base.
