Glenn W. Huffman, age 91, passed away peacefully at home, on Wednesday (May 2, 2018).
His memorial mass will be celebrated Tuesday, at 10 a.m., at St. Dominic Church, 97 W. Main St., Shortsville. Interment will be in St. Rose Cemetery, Shortsville.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army, P.O. Box 510, Canandaigua, NY 14424.
Glenn was born in Clifton Springs and was the son of Frank and Nell (Rodney) Huffman. He was raised in Manchester and attended schools there. Glenn was a US Army veteran of WWII and served in the Pacific Theatre. He worked at PAPEC in Shortsville for many years and also at G.W. Lisk. Glenn enjoyed golf and was a charter member at Clifton Springs Country Club. He was a member of the V.F.W. and American Legion Turner-Schrader Post 34. Glenn enjoyed sports and was an avid NY Yankees fan.
He is survived by six children Cheryl (Frank) Vecchio, Pam Abbott, Eric Huffman, Kurt (Cheryl) Huffman, Tracey (Marc) Schaertl and Eric “Tim” (Judy) Warmuth; 16 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; brother, Dale (Barbara) Huffman; and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife of 63 years, Marjorie (Van Vooren) Huffman in 2011; infant son, Frank Rodney Huffman in 1966; and 12 siblings.
