Will the third time be the charm for the City of Auburn?
Gov. Cuomo has announced his third Downtown Revitalization Initiative that awards $10 Million to one community in each of ten regional districts.
City Manager Jeff Dygert said on this morning’s FLMN the city is not going to turn down another chance for the prize.
Auburn lost to Oswego and Cortland in the first two competitions, that have been dubbed “Cuomo’s Hunger Games” by his critics. Dygert added there was an upside to coming in second.
Dygert said a new bid would include a mix of viable projects from last year’s bid along with projects from new developers.
