A 20-year-old man that was wanted for allegedly violating his parole is back behind bars after leading Corning Police officers on a foot chase.
Luke Gallagher was spotted by officers in the area of Denison Parkway and Walnut Street. Gallagher took off running across multiple lanes of traffic and then through a West Market Street business. As he was running, Gallagher tossed some cocaine, but officers were able to recover it. When he was caught, Gallagher was found to be in possession of crack and powder cocaine.
He was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, resisting arrest and two counts of tampering with physical evidence.
