A Geneva firefighter was airlifted to a hospital Monday night after he suffered a heart issue during a house fire in Seneca County.
Multiple fire departments were called to a fully-involved house fire in Border City.The fire was reported around 6 last night at 31 Moore Street near Zotos, and video from the scene showed the house with heavy flames and smoke coming from it.
Online reports say a plumber was working inside the home, smelled gas before the house exploded. The plumber and two people who lived there escaped the fire with minor injuries. Border City, Geneva, and Waterloo firefighters were called to the scene.
Mercy Flight airlifted the firefighter to Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester.
Firefighters from Seneca and Ontario Counties are on scene of a reported house explosion on Moore Street, near Zotos International. One firefighter on scene reported hearing multiple explosions.
