The University of Pennsylvania has ruled former Hobart and William Smith Colleges president Gregory Vincent’s doctorate in education will stand, so long as he makes some revisions to the document.
According to the Finger Lakes Times, Vincent provided a statement from the University of Pennsylvania following their investigation into allegations that the dissertation for his doctorate contained material that was not properly attributed.
Vincent tells the newspaper that he will not seek his old job back. He was President of Hobart and William Colleges for less than a year. Vincent resigned earlier this month saying he wanted “to avoid any further stress to the campus community.”
