Jury selection begins today in Seneca County Court for a Waterloo woman accused of setting her home on fire.
47-year old Diana Fegley faces up to 15-years in prison on the arson charge. Fegley is accused of starting the fire at her Inslee Street home on February 22nd, 2017.
Neighbors reported the fire when they saw smoke coming from the home. Fegley was found inside the burning home and rescued by an off-duty Canandaigua police officer, a former Waterloo firefighter and Waterloo Police Department Sgt. Lee Marquart. She was airlifted to Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse and treated for smoke inhalation.
The home sustained major fire, smoke, and water damage.
Fegley has been free on her own recognizance since her arrest last year.
Waterloo, Border City, and Fayette Fire Departments were called to the scene to put on the fire.
