The staff at the Seward House Museum continue to put together the pieces of the puzzle of the relationship between the young girl who may have been Harriet Tubman’s daughter and the Seward family.
Jeff Ludwig has been one of the lead detectives on the case.
Ludwig said on Thursday’s Finger Lakes Morning News there are descendants of Margaret Stewart who could provide DNA to determine if she was Harriet Tubman’s daughter.
Next Thursday, Seward House will host a discussion by Purdue University professor and historian Bob May about the controversy over the removal of Confederate statues across the country.
