Cathy was born in Waterloo, N.Y. on July 25, 1933, the daughter of Robert and Hilda Smith Hill. She was a lifelong resident of Waterloo. Cathy is retired from the Waterloo School District, where she drove school bus for many years. She had many talents. One in which she used to Yodel. At a young age, she and a friend would harmonize on the school bus, and later she was heard frequently on the area radio station. Cathy was found over the years to enter into pitching horseshoes at the Waterloo fairgrounds and was a frequent bowler and card player. She also would attend her grandchildren’s sports games. Her family ties were very special, bringing up seven children, and watching her family grow with grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and spending time with them. This was her greatest accomplishment!
The family would like to send a special thanks to the dialysis team at Geneva General Hospital, for the care they gave to their mom for the past 12 years.
Cathy is survived by four sons Kenneth (Patricia) Eighmey of St. Augustine, Fla., William (Marisa) Jolly of Waterloo, N.Y., Robert (Mary) Jolly of Geneva, N.Y., Thomas (Jennifer) Jolly of Waterloo, N.Y.; two daughters Dawn (Michael) Kapp of Palm Coast, Fla., Valerie Jolly of Waterloo, N.Y.; sister, Dorthy Duby of Angleton, Texas; 16 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends.
