A Cayuga County man has been sentenced for holding a woman against her will and setting her on fire. 52-year-old Milton Richardson, Junior was sentenced Thursday to seven years in prison. Richardson was arrested in August and charged with several crimes. Richardson pleaded guilty in February.
Authorities say Richardson lived in a garage in Brutus with a former girlfriend. Police say Richardson and the woman got into an argument on August 22nd, and Richardson poured oil on her before lighting her on fire. The woman suffered minor burns.
In addition to his prison time, Richardson has also been ordered to pay 500 dollars to the victim.
