A 27 year old Amherst resident has been charged with DWI following a one-car accident that happened Friday night on State Route 96 in the town of Waterloo.
Chia-Hua Pai was westbound near Blue Sky Road around 6:30 p.m. when he car left the highway, crossed over the road and into the south side ditch before rolling over. Pai was checked at the scene by North Seneca Ambulance and after refusing medical assistance, was taken into custody for allegedly driving while intoxicated.
He will appear in Waterloo Town Court later this month.
The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by State Police, North Seneca Ambulance, Waterloo and Border City Fire Departments.
