The Seneca County Chamber of Commerce and Hampton Inn Seneca Falls are pleased to announce Buttonwood Grove Winery as the Business of the Month for March 2018.
Located along Cayuga Lake in Romulus, Buttonwood Grove Winery was purchased by in 2014 by David and Melissa Pittard. Under their leadership, several enhancements have been made including the expansion of the winery’s production facility, the expansion of their signature summer music series and the addition of hard cider to compliment their award-winning wines.
In 2017, Buttonwood Grove Winery won the highly coveted Governor’s Cup for best wine in New York State. Their 2016 Riesling was voted best medium sweet Riesling, best overall Riesling and best white wine on its way to winning the Governor’s Cup award.
“We are extremely proud of Buttonwood’s accomplishments in helping elevate the Finger Lakes wine industry as well as their contributions to our Chamber community,” stated Membership Development Manager Mackenzie Green. “Being one of the few wineries in the region with onsite lodging also makes this destination a unique experience in the Finger Lakes.”
