Cayuga County legislator and former Legislature Chair Keith Batman is considering challenging Assemblyman Gary Finch in November.
Batman tells Finger Lakes News Radio he is in the early stages of a possible campaign, but expects to make a decision in the near future.
He says he would have a lot to offer representing residents of the 126th Assembly district.
Batman served as a member of the Southern Cayuga school board and was the town supervisor in Scipio for six years. He was elected to the District 7 seat on the Cayuga County Legislature in 2013 and was reelected in November. He served as the chair of the legislature for two years before deciding not to seek a third term in January.
