On Monday, March 19, 2018, at 11:16 am the Town of Seneca Falls Police Department responded along with the Seneca Falls Fire Department and North Seneca Ambulance to Trinity Lane for a motor vehicle crash. The motor vehicle was being operated by Michael R. Popp, age 25, of Seneca Falls, New York. Popp reported that he became distracted while driving when he left the roadway, colliding with the utility pole. Popp complained of abdominal pain, however, refused transport to the hospital. The vehicle and pole sustained heavy damage. The vehicle was towed from the scene and NYSEG responded to replace the utility pole that was snapped in half. Popp was issued tickets for unsafe speed and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana after he was found to be in possession of marijuana. He was issued an appearance ticket and released. Popp is scheduled to appear in the Town of Seneca Falls Court on April 4, 2018, at 5:30 pm.
