A Romulus man is in Seneca County Jail following his arrest resulting from a domestic incident and standoff with the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies responded to Kelly Drennan’s Coloniel’s Drive residence around 2:30 Sunday afternoon after a woman reported she had escaped after being threatened with a pistol. The woman also claimed Drennan had choked her during the incident. When deputies arrived, Drennan would not come out of his home. After negotiators were called to the scene, Drennan surrendered without incident.
Inside the home, a pistol and an unregistered AR-15 assault rifle, that was accompanied by 11 large capacity feeding devices with a large supply of ammunition, were found.
Drennan was charged with criminal possession of a weapon, criminal obstruction of breathing and 11 counts of unlawful possession of certain ammunition feeding devices.
