Joseph Percoco, a former top aide to Governor Andrew Cuomo, was found guilty Tuesday of conspiracy to commit honest services wire fraud and solicitation of bribes. He was found not guilty on three counts of extortion. Assemblyman Bob Oaks said the verdict is a reflection on the Governor.
Oaks says the verdict should have an impact on lawmakers.
Assembly Minority Leader Brian Kolb issued a statement that read, quote, Albany’s golden age of corruption is not ending anytime soon. Criminal activity has infected every branch of government, the state’s highest offices and most powerful public officials.”
